I’m often not quite ready
to let go of the past
and so no quite ready
to commit to the future
I’m often
so attached to the old
that I’m not willing
to tackle the new
Some situations are not quite
bad enough to leave
but yet not quite
good enough to stay
However, if I sit too long
between two chairs
I’m in greater danger
of falling through the crack
