Household chores
are never done.
There is always
one more thing
that needs to be cleaned,
cooked, mended,
or put away.
Work is also never done.
There is always
one more item
that needs to be studied,
written, calculated,
or filed away.
I’m always catching up,
but I’m never “caught up.”
When I think I have finished,
terminated, accomplished,
resolved everything,
there is always
one more thing
that needs to get done.
