that I cannot find the top of it

the unswept leaves
in front of the house
the buttons that need
to be sewn on
the hems that need
to be shortened
I want to leave the unmade bed
the dusty shelves
the unpressed shirts
the unanswered calls

the unmopped floors
the unwashed windows
the TV that needs
to be fixed
